Plot history

A historic parcel of Domaine Chapelle & Fils, Clos des Cornières has been a source of pride for the Chapelle family for many years. This “grand” clos of 3 hectares is in fact made up of three sub-parcels. One was planted in the 1970s, another in the 1990s, and the most recent in 2021. The terroir is clay-silt-sandy, with good soil depth, allowing the production of village appellation wines of remarkable depth and character.

Tasting notes

Clear, bright colour. An appealing nose of red and black fruit aromas. The palate is already well open and complex. The tannins are fine and abundant, yet very silky on the finish. This wine can be enjoyed now and over the next three to five years.
